OUR VISION

I am passionate about player development AND enjoyment. I have been a football enthusiast all my life and find not greater pleasure in life than coaching young footballers regardless of ability. I run a variety of sessions from individual to team sessions. I am not only a football coach but also a key believer in positive mentality. I have worked with thousands of children from as young as 5 through to Worcester City Women’s first team and Aston Villa Academy. I firmly believe that my vast experience from not ensures improvement, but also self-motivation. All I ever ask of my students is to love the game and enjoy!That’s the Tally way

MEET THE TEAM

Tally

Tally is the leader who brings a range of experience to the centre. His knowledge of the game is second to none and is a firm promoter in self-believe and confidence. Tally likes his players to be creative whilst developing an understanding of each play having a purpose. Tally is currently working towards his UEFA B and is not only part of the Worcester City Women set-up, but also had 2 years as coach at Youth level for Aston Villa. Tally moulds himself as Steven Gerrard by leading from the front and taking control of the sessions, whilst also not being afraid of being honest with his players.

Ian

Ian is......

Westy

Westy is our most experienced coach with over 15 years under his belt. He is also our goalkeeping coach who is currently working towards his UEFA C to support his keeping qualifications. He is also Droitwich Spa Youth’s chairman. Westy likes to coach so the ball doesn’t stop moving and loves to learn new ideas and methods to improve everyone’s development. Like West Brom of old, Westy likes to encourage the ball forward with purpose and ensures that each of his players understanding the importance of quick play.

Tom

Coach Tom brings a wealth of experience to his boys’ sessions. Tom likes to adopt a quieter approach and let the football do the talking. Tom likes his sessions to teach his ballers that mistakes happen, but how you react is vitally important. Tom likes to coach like how Liverpool attack and press high up the pitch, whilst also focusing on how his idol Steven Gerrard dominated games by controlling possession of the ball.

Danny

Coach Danny helps on a Monday & Wednesday and brings plenty of fun to both sessions. Danny has coached at both Crowle and currently Worcester City as well as helping at a Wildcats. Danny loves to promote calmness on the ball which helps him implement a quieter approach to his sessions. This ensures detail is being promoted and often uses demonstrations to ensure key values are outlined. Danny is hoping to emulate Erik ten Haag and have his players look for a pass rather than panic. With coach Danny promoting playing out from the back, he has based his style of play on Rio Ferdinand and Bruno Fernandes – but without the playacting! Danny also provides 1-2-1 sessions to help his players gain an extra yard

Adam

Coach Adam brings an international feel to the development centre by emulating the style of Henry and Fabregas into his sessions. Adam likes his players to be brave on the ball and show confidence when playing. Adam has recently earnt his UEFA C licence and understands the difference between coaching girls and boys. Like the modern Arsenal, Adam wants his players to keep the ball on the deck as well as ensure they have the flair of Gareth Bale.

Birmo does work behind the scenes and maybe the first person you see on a Wednesday. Aside from organising the groups, Birmo leads the warmup and stretches for the older girl’s group to ensure injury is minimal. When coaching, Birmo likes to adopt a patient play with the ball and for his players to not only be calm, but also constantly looking for a pass. Unlike Watford, Birmo wants the ball to remain on the ground, with balls played to feet. He also likes his players to understand the importance of different positions, with Teddy Sheringham being his role model for adaptability and looking after yourself.
